We have been reminded that while there are some things that may divide us, there is far more that unites us ~that while no country is perfect, our country is the beacon of freedom and democracy and there is much to be proud of ~ and that while that freedom includes freedom to practice many forms of religion ~ and indeed the freedom to practice no religion ~ our founding fathers put their trust in God, and we should as well ~ please PRAY !!!! |

I hope people of all faiths and all walks of life were comforted to see members of Congress on the steps of the Capitol singing "God Bless America" and to see both houses of Congress begin their sessions with prayer ~!!! awww ~ PRAYER ~ talking to "Our Father," the creator ~ I am so thankful, to God ~ that a new perspective, and a new sense of hope, has emerged ~ one that lifts our country and our spirits up, rather than succumbing to the terrorists' goal of knocking us down and driving us apart. This has showed the nation that our children do need to pray in schools,~ we need to teach our children that "Our Father," loves them too ~ they need freedom to pray if they wish !!!! FREEDOM !!! While there is nothing we can do to bring the victims back~ there is much we can do to honor them and their sacrifices ~!!!! We can do that by taking action, each in our own way, to be helpful, whether by giving money, donating blood or lending a helping hand, keeping a candle lit, and flying your AMERICAN flag ~ but most of all PLEASE PRAY !!!! We must remember that while life is fleeting there is reason to believe faith is enduring. We can do that by uniting with our country's leaders, and giving them our prayers and support. And we can do that by reminding ourselves that we do live in a great country, one of much LOVE ~ As President Bush said, this is indeed a test for our nation. Rather than just watch the events unfold and be angry or frustrated, let's all do what we can now to help our country deal with the current challenge And, in the months and years ahead, let's all recommit ourselves to build an even greater country. I sent this e-mail to my governor in South Carolina hoping to see prayers back in school ~ I pray you take the time to do ths same ~ Dear Governor ~: Listening to the news............everyone is saying pray............newsmen........cops.......firemen..... the President ~.......people in the street.......all saying pray...........why not the schools too? If we lose the faith of our youth and the morals and ethics that it brings we lose the bases of the nation. I would rather have the kids be taught to follow the guidance of the father out of love... not fear of something bad... love is much better and they will listen with hearts that way ~ Is this what happens when our children are not allowed to pray? Please put GOD back in the schools of USA ~ God's love and light always 'jb~ |
Fireman's Prayer When I am called to duty God where ever flames may rage give me strength to save a life what ever be its age. Help me to embrace a little child before it is too late or save an older person from the horror of that fate. Enable me to be alert to hear the weakest shout and quickly and efficiently to put the fire out.I want to fill my calling and to give the best in me to guard my neighbor and protect his property.And if according to your will I have to lose my life bless with your protecting hand my loving family from strife. |

AMERICA CRIES With tear stained faces, America cries....For Every person lost and for each hero that dies....After the smoke clears and all the dust has settled.... America still stands, despite all the debris and the metal....As we rally together, United we stand.... Reaching out to a stranger and holding their hand.... With courage and faith- we shall not bend....To the terrorist that have taken a family member or friend.... I have found that heroes aren't born- heroes are made.... Risking their lives in spite of being afraid.... We thank all the Rescue Workers for being so brave....
