~ A Soldier's Unconditional Love ~

As I stare in awe and wonder At this flag before my eyes ~ I see within it's glowing depths Those who fought and will fight, again~ for freedom's prize. The heart to win, the will to fight, The choice to stand for God and right. I see the soldier who knew me not Yet, for my freedom, this solier fiercely fights and others have fought. Of cold and sickness, fear and pain, Endured all that we might gain. As I stand in awe and wonder And I think on freedom's past, And think of all the battles fought That liberty and freedom might last ~

I hear the cry of soldiers lost, To save my life they paid the cost. I hear the thunder, battles fierce, I hear the sobs the heart to pierce. A mother's loss, a country's gain, How hard the heart feels ~ Not the pain, Oh God, why mine. As I watch the flag above And think upon a soldier's love, Giving all for freedom's gain, Counting not the cost or pain. Standing fast our heart should break, A soldier's friend he'll not forsake. The soldier's heart will never give in, For freedom's sake they'll fight to win. Proud, this flag shows warrior's love, The soldier gives all for me and you.

It's proof? The stripes of boldest red. The soldier fights for those they never knew. John 15:13 "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." In a soldier I can only feel  God's unconditional love ~

Dear friends so much, I feel in my heart at this time ~ The same as most of you, scared, wondering what tomorrow brings, and most of all worried ~ about that which we can't see or touch ~ This is when I turn to God the most ~ I ask that we all say prayers for these men and woman who will fight for our countries, we are now closer as a nation, than ever before ~ To be sure, there is anxiety over the threat of more assaults as well as disquiet about possible military action against an unseen and ruthless enemy ~ and these men and woman will fight~ God Bless them, I would like to say a special thanks to my daughter ~ and son-in-law ~ Oriana, I love you, Marc, I love you, you are in my heart always, I dedicate this page to you and all the soldiers who fight this war ~ God's Love, Light, prayers, and PEACE ~Mom~
