~Near Death Experience ~
I am so grateful that I had my Heavenly experience or I could not go on ~
Some days I have felt overwhelmed with
personal and family challenges, only a few of which I have shared over the past  years ~
Many times, tears have been difficult to stop;
but I know the truthfulness of my message and the importance of sharing it with others: until called home by God, life is worth living even with all of its problems.

My hope is that the way will be open to help me spread my message. I believe in miracles, and I need miracles including sources and contacts which are needed to continue this work. Also I know that as I share what I learned on the Other Side, helping others increases my chances of receiving the miracles I need. As we all help each other, we can help make this a better world in which to live.

This last year I have made priceless new friendships as I have heard from people who have read my site and people I have met on the net.  Life is always interesting. I would love to hear from you too.
If you have had a near death experience and would like it added, please feel free to e-mail me .

The reason for these web pages is to magnify the truth and to shine a light in this world of darkness. I seek to end the ignorance and fear of death and to plant seeds of more spiritual love and light within my fellow human beings. I wish everyone could find the enormous love and the great light I have discovered in meditating on the profound truths revealed during my near death experience. This is my mission in this life and my love.

Special Blessings to You and Your Loved Ones. With Love, Light, And Peace, ~ jb~

"But was it real? Dr. Morse?"
Chris, age 8, had nearly drown when his family's car plunged over a bridge and into the freezing waters of a river near Seattle. His father was trapped in the car and died. His mother and brother miraculously swam to safety. A passer by dove repeatedly to the sunken car, and finally brought Chris's limp body to the surface. He was flown by helicopter to a nearby hospital and ultimately survived.
He said: First the car filled up with water, and everything went all blank. Then I died. I went into a huge noodle. It wasn't like a spiral noodle, but it was very straight. When I told my Mom about it, I told her it was a noodle, but it must have been a tunnel, because it had a rainbow in it. Noodles don't have rainbows in them.I was pushed along by wind, and I could float. I saw two tunnels in front of me, a human tunnel and an animal tunnel. First I went in the animal tunnel, and a bee gave me honey. Then I saw the human heaven. It was like a castle, not all broken down, just a regular castle. As I looked at it, I heard some music. It was very loud, and it stuck in my head."Although prior to his near death experience, Chris had little interest in music, since his near drowning, his mother bought him a keyboard and he has taught himself to play the heavenly music he heard.

Not cultural myths Chris clearly saw something he thought was real. The image of a rainbow in a noodle is so unique, it is unlikely to have its source in our cultural psychology. I had certainly never heard of one before. But was it really real?
Yes, it was ! Chris's question goes right to the heart of the problem, as is typical for a child. As he pointed out, if his experience was real, then "you'll have to tell all the old people, so they won't be afraid to die".Are near death experiences actually the dying experience, the result of normal brain function at the point of death? Or, are they the result of brain dysfunction creating a hallucination triggered by the biological stresses of dying, drugs, and a lack of oxygen to the brain? Near death experiences involve the perception of another reality superimposed over this one. This "other reality" frequently is a spiritual one involving the existence of a loving God. There is clearly a sense of a persistence of consciousness after the death of the body. Near death experiences are "real", then clearly it is clear that this other reality is real and even our destination after death.

My Near Death Experience
by Leroy Kattein

I had a bad day. I was depressed about my health, business and everything else that came to mind so I went to bed early, thinking the sleep would help me forget. I was wrong.

About 2:00 a.m. I awoke feeling very strange. I couldn't see anything, but felt an energy or electric-like current running through me. Also felt someone close to my right shoulder. I thought this was my wife, but soon determined the bed, with my wife, was far below me, to my left. Wanting to find out who this was at my shoulder I tried to turn around. A voice said: "Please go back to sleep." It was a male voice that seemed to originate within my thoughts or mind.

I wasn't afraid, and I still wanted to know what was happening, so, I tried to turn again. The voice said: "Do you wish to continue here or would you like to go on?" After considering this question only a few seconds, I replied: "I want to continue, of course". My reply was given as a thought.

As soon as I had answered, the energy surrounding me began to grow in intensity. The stronger it became the more I felt loved and supported by it. I became aware of (or remembered) my spiritual nature, and also, my purpose for being here. (I felt as if I had always known these things, but had somehow forgotten them.) I further knew that all people share this love and support. That everyone is held safe and secure and loved unconditionally by the Creator.

The intense energy lasted about 15 minutes (estimate). During this time, I felt total love, support, belonging, and an expanded knowledge of many things. I never wanted to leave this beautiful state of being; but finally the energy subsided and the voice said: "Please go back to sleep." In the next moment, I was back in bed, with my wife next to me. The adventure, however, was far from over.

In the months following, the energy remained, though not as intense. I had many lucid/out-of-body dreams (dreams where you are aware of, and active in, the dream state) teaching me how to overcome my limitations and fears. My health improved, in about 18 months I was released from all medical care. In another 18 months, my business was sold and I found employment. Life was looking good again.

Currently, the story continues. I can still feel the energy. I am still learning about, and improving myself daily. I can't remember every detail the intense energy allowed me to understand, but I know the most important thing is to teach, practice and live in Love.
A Light at the End of the Tunnel
by Mollyjak

At 19 years of age, my son and his high school sweetheart were married, without approval of their parents, which for my son was the first in a series of bad decisions. It didn't take long for him to realize that they were not prepared for the adult pressures of married life, and he responded to their situation with severe depression and alcohol abuse. They separated after a couple of years of an unhappy, unstable relationship and deep financial debt. With a failed marriage and a sense of despair in ever getting back on his feet again, his depression intensified and eventually led to a suicide attempt by placing a shotgun under his chin. Fortunately, he lost in his attempt to end his life, but in the process, lost his mid-face, leaving a fist-sized cavity from the top of his nose to his lower lip. As the gun fired, it kicked forward, resulting in loss of his nose and mouth. As he lay dying, he had a near-death experience, where he saw an intense bright light shining directly over him, engulfing him, and then a woman with long dark hair standing in the light. He tried to call out to her to help him and suddenly realized that he was lying in her lap, where he felt peaceful and calm, with no pain or fear. He still has that peaceful feeling when he recalls the experience. The next thing he remembers is floating over the neighborhood, where he watched the paramedics working to save his life. He saw police cars with their lights flashing and an ambulance out in the street. Neighbors were coming out of their houses in their night clothes to see what the commotion was all about. He described the scene just the way it was described to me later. There was blood and tissue covering his face. One eye had been knocked out of its socket and the other eye was slightly displaced. It would have been physically impossible for him to see anything at all. Months later, we saw pictures taken by the paramedics at the scene. I was hesitant about showing them to him, but he told me he already knew what they looked like from his near-death experience. He went on to describe the pictures to me exactly...the quilt that covered him from his waist down, all the blood, and the position that his body was lying in. He doesn't like to think of it as a near-death experince because he doesn't understand why something like that would happen to him, just an ordinary person. In time, maybe he will think differently. As his mother, it gave me great comfort to know that this divine spirit was with him, to calm him and give him peace at a timne he was at a crossroad, when he must have been experiencing tremendous emotional and physical pain. I hope the idea that a beautiful spirit is with us to help us cross-over will give comfort to those who are left to grieve for a loved-one, to know that they were not alone.
The Near-Death Experience ~
When the bleeding wouldn't stop, Bill knew he was dying. "I was going, but I felt totally at peace. There was a golden kind of light, brighter than the sun, but it didn't hurt my eyes. I never wanted anything as much as to go into that light, but something or somebody-it felt like my dad, who died when I was a kid-communicated to me, 'It isn't your time. You must go back to finish what you have to do in your life.' The next thing I knew, I was slammed back into my body. It felt like a wet sock, and the pain was just awful."
For Marilyn, in the emergency room with a heart attack, the pain suddenly stopped. "All at once I just popped out of my body and floated up to the ceiling. I could see dust on top of the light fixtures, and I thought, 'Boy, somebody's going to catch it for this!' I could see doctors working on someone on the table, when all of a sudden I realized it was me-I mean, my body. I thought it was kind of silly they were working so hard. My family was waiting down the hall, and I wished my kids could stop crying; I wanted to let them know I was fine, but they couldn't hear me. Then it seemed I had to get back, that it was my job to take care of them, see them grow up okay."

When the car stopped flipping, Kurt thought he had been thrown into outer space. "I was alone, all by myself out in the universe. I could hear noises, sort of like moans, and I could see these figures in the distance. They seemed to be people wearing some kind of robe, and they were faceless. They were in torment. I don't know why I think that, except it just seemed that way. They were helpless and gesturing to me to join them. Then I was realizing it would be like that forever. Something-I don't know what-was sending me a message, something about making a choice. I don't really remember it exactly. Being there was so horrible I can't even describe it. That was fourteen years ago, and I still can't figure out what I ever did to deserve it."

What Bill, Marilyn and Kurt have shared are near-death experiences. NDEs have occurred throughout history, in all parts of the world. It is even possible that experiences like these helped to create the world's ideas about heaven and hell, or at least about what may happen at or after death.

What is a Near-Death Experience (NDE)?
Although most people who have come close to death say they remember nothing, a third or more may later report that "something happened." That "something" might be a near-death experience, an NDE.

No two NDEs are identical, but within a group of experiences a pattern becomes evident. The pattern (and any single experience) includes one or more of these things:

Feeling that the "self" has left the body and is hovering overhead. The person may later be able to describe who was where and what happened, sometimes in detail.
Moving through a dark space or tunnel.
Experiencing intensely powerful emotions, ranging from bliss to terror.
Encountering a light. It is usually described as golden or white, and as being magnetic and loving; occasionally it is perceived as a reflection of the fires of hell.
Receiving some variant of the message "It is not yet your time."
Meeting others: may be deceased loved ones, recognized from life or not; sacred beings; unidentified entities and/or "beings of light"; sometimes symbols from one's own or other religious traditions.
A life review, seeing and re-experiencing major and trivial events of one's life, sometimes from the perspective of the other people involved, and coming to some conclusion about the adequacy of that life and what changes are needed.
Having a sense of understanding everything, of knowing how the universe works.
Reaching a boundary-a cliff, fence, water, some kind of barrier that may not be crossed if one is to return to life.
In some cases, entering a city or library.
Rarely, receiving previously unknown information about one's life-i.e., adoption or hidden parentage, deceased siblings.
Decision to return may be voluntary or involuntary. If voluntary, usually associated with unfinished responsibilities.
Returning to the body.
Most NDEs are pleasant, but others are deeply frightening.
The Experience
The near-death experience (NDE) is among the most powerful experiences that a person can have, one of a family of experiences which may occur with or without being close to death. It may permanently alter a person's perceptions of what is real and important.
One most extraordinary aspect of NDEs is that the underlying pattern seems unaffected by a person's culture or belief system, religion, race, education, or any other known variable, although the way in which the NDE is described varies according to the person's background and vocabulary. There is no evidence that the type of experience is related to whether the person is conventionally religious or not, or has lived a "good" or "bad" life according to his/her society's standards (although an NDE often strongly affects how life is lived after the experience).

An experience may include the feeling of being out of the physical body, moving through a darkness or tunnel, encountering the presences of deceased loved ones and other entities, and an indescribable light or menacing darkness. Many people say they have glimpsed the pattern and meaning of life and the universe, or have been given information beyond ordinary human capacities. For most people the experience is joyful beyond words, although others tell of unpleasant or terrifying experiences. When adequately understood every type of NDE reveals issues of deep significance to the life of the individual and to humankind in general.

Is It Real?
Medical technology may bring survivors, but science is not able to explain what happened in the process. Like all human experiences, the NDE no doubt has a biologically-based trigger; yet its impact is most often felt as a psychological or spiritual event. For people who believe that only physical events can be real, the NDE - or even the idea of such a thing - may be disturbing or seem ludicrous.

Yet the phenomenon cannot be dismissed just because we cannot explain it. A 1982 Gallup Poll estimated that at least eight million adults in the US alone have had an NDE; the figure is now believed to be closer to thirteen million. Experiences have been reported through the centuries, from many cultures and religious traditions.

Whatever the near-death experience is, it is neither recent nor local. Something happens, and it changes peoples lives.

What Does It Mean?
Many people believe that the NDE proves there is life after death in a literal sense. To others, more cautious, the experience is not "proof," but it suggests that some aspect of human consciousness may be independent of the body and may survive physical death. To others, the NDE defines a value system based on care for others, knowledge, and service.
I personally look on my near death experience as a wake up call, that God had more lessons for me to learn here on earth and more love to share ~
